Contractors research new IT contracts in September and June
02nd Jul 2007
Last week, we asked Vantage registered users and guests of our website what month of the year they are most likely to change IT contracts and/ or look for a new IT position. There were three options to choose from; September, June and January. These choices were offered as research shows that contractors are most likely to apply for a new contract during these months.
The final result was a tie between September and June as the most popular months, with both receiving 40% of votes. Contrary to expectation, January received the least number of total votes. Only 20% of voters typically change contract or look for a new IT Contract role in January.
This week, we ask IT Contractors which website they use to find an IT Contract in Ireland. There are a number of recruitment websites to choose from. We look forward to receiving your vote.

I recently took part in an IT contracts market research competition with Vantage Resources Ltd and won the star prize of an Ipod nano.
Vantage explained to me that continued ongoing research into IT contractor attitudes will help Vantage to implement new IT marketing campaigns.
They also outlined that this type of research will raise the company's awareness and exposure to an even greater proportion of IT contractors and clients in the Irish IT contracts industry.
I was delighted to take part in the research process and was very pleased to hear that my views together with other respondents that took part in the survey will help Vantage to improve its IT contracts services and marketing activities.
