In this week's poll, Vantage Resources asked IT contractors what industry they prefer to work in. The industries included Financial Services, Public Sector, Telecoms, Pharmaceutical, Research & Development, Real Estate & Business Services and a choice of other for industries not specified. The leading spot changed daily, but the final result showed that 22.7% of IT contractors, who voted, prefer working in the manufacturing industry.

After the first day of the poll, Financial Services took the lead with 33.3% of the vote, by mid week Public Sector was in the lead with 27.3% of votes. At the close of poll, Financial Services and the Public Sector remained in the top three taking second and third place respectively. However, the public sector shared third place with Telecoms and the not listed options, each securing 13.6% of overall votes. The Pharmaceutical industry received 9.1% of the votes and Research & Development and Real Estate, Renting and Business Activities industries came in last with 4.5% each of IT contractor's votes.
