Irish medical devices firm ClearStream Technologies is to create 70 jobs in Wexford under a major expansion plan, while French financial software firm, Murex have announced the creation of 30 new software jobs.

ClearStream Technologies, which employs 230 workers, designs and manufactures medical devices such as catheters and stents. The new jobs will be in the areas of product engineering, research and development, manufacturing, and sales and marketing.  Chief executive, Andy Jones said "We intend to seek out new technologies and invest in further research and development for the future and we expect the newly created position of chief technology officer to be key to this growth".

30 new jobs have also been announced by French software company, Murex. Murex already employs 60 workers in Shelbourne Road in south Dublin. The new positions are aimed at candidates who have degree or masters qualifications in maths, engineering and computer science.
