Cloudera Data Platform Manager Role and Responsibilities:
This role will see the successful candidate responsible for managing and delivering the Cloudera Data Platform
What’s involved:
You will work with Cloud Data Platform / digital experience layer and Enterprise Data Lake (EDL).
Managing and delivering Cloudera Data Platform
You will run the platform
You will manage the security, scalability, assessment of platform, proactive in ensuring stability and governance
Define, develop and embed Cloudera / CDP best practices, standard methodology and controls to ensure and maintain optimal platform performance and workload management.
Leverage the latest capabilities from an evolving technology stack - NiFi/Kafka, Hive/Impala, Ranger/Atlas, Hbase/Phonix, Terraform/IaC.
You will implement the solutions on CDP in the cloud (AWS / Azure).
Protect platform cost management and drive cost efficiencies
Manage vendor governance
Support platform upgrades and architectural design efficiencies.
What you need:
10+ years’ experience managing and delivering a data platform
Experience running the Cloudera platform, security, scalability, stability and governance
Strong working knowledge Cloudera data platform
In-depth knowledge of NiFi/Kafka, Hive/Impala, Ranger/Atlas, Hbase/Phonix, Terraform/IaC
Excellent knowledge of Cloudera best practice and processes
