Cobol Developer Role and Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cobol Developer Engineer with a strong background in COBOL to join our development team.  
   

What’s involved:

• Produce estimates for requirements where required.
• Code new developments and/or enhancements in line with standards.
• Create functional design specifications and/or user stories.
• Adhere to code quality, data, and unit testing standards.
• Identify and implement integration tests and automation tests, as necessary.
• Mentor Junior team members
• Provide system test support when code is migrated to System Test
• Assist with test and live releases.
• Feed into project management activities as required in terms of tracking, risk management etc.
• Maintenance and support

What you need:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an application support or similar role
• Proven experience working with COBOL applications
• Experience in development
• SQL skills for querying and updating data
• Unix/Linux Scripting
