Field Service Engineer, Role and Responsibilities:
This role will see the successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of ICT onsite support, working with a wide range of hardware and software.
What’s involved:
You will work onsite providing ICT Level 1 & 2 support
You will work with the ICT Unit support team, supporting 1800 users
You will manage and assigns requests to relevant 3rd parties where request cannot be resolved within the Field Engineer group.
You will be responsible for the support of all end user hardware/software problems
You will work with a wide variety of PC hardware, software, printers, laptops, tablets, smart devices and peripherals.
Carry out telephone and office communications in a professional manner
What you need:
Level 8 degree or relevant qualifications such as CompTIA, Cisco (CCENT or Higher), Alcatel (ACSP or higher), Microsoft (MTA, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE), CISSP.
You will Support and manage several IT disciplines including End user devices Networking (Alcatel or other), Microsoft 365, Server (Windows Server & Linux), backups, virtualisation (VMWare & Hyper V)
You will manage an Active Directory environment including but not limited to Security Groups, GPOs, Health Checks, Clean ups, Auditing
You will work as part of a wider team, acting as an escalation point for a Service Desk
You will liaise with in house specialists and external vendors to achieve results.
