Senior Infrastructure Engineer Public Sector

Our Client:

• A leading global consulting firm is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Dublin-based team. You’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure environments while working with clients and vendors to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

What’s Involved:

• Delivering technical projects, including specification, planning, and implementation.
• Producing continuous improvement and infrastructure enhancement plans.
• Maintaining and enhancing client relationships.
• Managing support activities for various systems and providing technical assistance to project teams.
• Offering expert knowledge in infrastructure and virtualisation technologies.
• Collaborating with vendors to finalise technical requirements for infrastructure expansion and refresh.
• Generating technical documentation and best practice guidelines.
• Managing vendor relationships and account managers.

What You Need:

• Degree in Computer Science, ICT, Business Management, Commerce, or Telecommunications.
• 3+ years’ commercial experience supporting, maintaining, and deploying infrastructure systems.
• Experience in design, delivery, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware VCP preferred).
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
• Experience with Windows server and desktop operating systems.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or VBS is beneficial.
• Ability to manage technical issues from assignment to resolution in line with SLAs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise in high-pressure environments.
• Competent in Microsoft Office tools.
