Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer Public Sector

Type: Contract Location: Dublin, Hybrid Salary: Depending on experience

What’s involved:

  • Lead strategic and technical initiatives in designing OpenShift-based Kubernetes clusters along with their associated server and network infrastructures.
  • Ensure that architectural designs meet non-functional requirements, including high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Design and develop CI/CD pipelines tailored for containerized applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to the Modern Engineering Platform team in refactoring and migrating existing applications to OpenShift containers.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Maintain and optimize processes for container orchestration and deployment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • Ensure clusters adhere to client security standards.

What you need:

  • 5+ years of experience managing Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including ACM, ACS, and Quay.
  • Proven expertise with CI/CD tools such as Git, Helm, ArgoCD, SonarQube, Azure DevOps Services, Podman, Skopeo, Clair, ZAProxy, HashiCorp Vault, Gatling, and Nexus Repository.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Certifications: Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator or Kubernetes Certified Administrator.
