Azure Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join their team and play a key role in delivering a greenfield Azure Landing Zone and migrating existing Azure resources from legacy subscriptions into the new platform.
What is involved:
Design, implement and configure the Azure Landing Zone, including governance, management groups and subscription structures.
Implement Azure Policy, RBAC, tagging, monitoring and security baselines.
Configure Azure networking, including hub-and-spoke architecture, DNS, routing and private endpoints.
Support workload migrations between Azure subscriptions and provide hands-on execution support.
Develop Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
Implement operational and security tooling, including Defender for Cloud, Log Analytics and alerting.
Produce technical documentation, handover materials and migration runbooks.
Collaborate closely with the Ireland-based Azure Solutions Architect and wider project team.
What you need:
5+ years’ experience in a similar position
Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure.
Proven experience delivering Azure Landing Zones or enterprise-scale Azure platforms.
Good understanding of Azure governance, networking, identity and security.
Experience supporting cloud migration or transformation projects.
Comfortable working independently, with strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
