Cloud Architect (Azure) Private Sector

What’s involved:

• Lead the design, governance and continuous improvement of enterprise Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platforms.
• Define cloud architecture standards, landing zones, networking, identity, security and operational models.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud migration, modernisation, hybrid and multi-cloud initiatives.
• Lead architecture reviews, design workshops and technical governance.
• Drive cloud security, compliance, resilience, monitoring and cost optimisation.
• Manage and mentor cloud engineers, architects and specialist resources.
• Support project delivery, operational escalations and major cloud platform changes.

What you need:

• 7–10+ years’ experience delivering Azure projects within large, complex enterprise environments; utilities experience is highly desirable.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure architecture, Azure AD/Entra ID, PIM, networking, firewalls and Key Vault.
• Strong understanding of Azure security, monitoring, compliance and risk remediation.
• Experience with cloud governance, identity & access management and operational support.
• Experience with OCI and multi-cloud environments is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and architecture governance skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer or OCI Architect are desirable.
