Data Engineer

Data Engineer – 12-Month Contract, South Dublin  
 
Data Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
This role will see the successful candidate responsible for expanding the data pipeline architecture and optimizing data flow & collection across multiple teams. You will be building software to help fight crypto fraud & prevent money laundering as well as building models for AI & Machine Learning.

What’s involved:

• Assemble large data sets that meet business requirements
• Implement internal process improvements; automating manual process & re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
• Transformation of data using ETL processes & cloud technologies
• Take ownership of requirements & solutions

What you need:

• 7+ years’ experience in a similar position
• Advanced working knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases
• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc.
• Experience with stream-processing systems; Storm/ Spark-Streaming
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Java or Python
• Exposure to cloud technologies/ services
• EU Passport/ Stamp 4 visa
