Device Security Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking an experienced Device Security Engineer to lead the definition, governance, and continuous improvement of the company’s device security posture. In this hands-on technical SME role, you will be responsible for delivering device security standards, secure-by-design architectures, and compliance control baselines across all devices, including endpoints, mobile devices, servers, and IoT.
What is involved:
Own and define device security policies, standards, and best practices for servers, endpoints, and mobile devices.
Develop and govern device hardening baselines and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with business-critical needs.
Manage device security platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender) and support security policies in partnership with IT teams and managed service providers.
Collaborate with Cyber Defence to improve device protection and incident response capabilities.
Drive remediation of non-compliant devices and high-risk configurations.
Act as the device security SME during security incidents, providing support for containment and long-term improvements.
What you need:
10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in endpoint/device security engineering roles.
Experience with endpoint and mobile device management platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF, Tanium).
Strong knowledge of device security platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender).
Experience with compliance governance, device lifecycle management, and collaboration with IT and cloud teams.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, OS or vendor-specific).
