Java Developer Intermediate Public Sector

What’s Involved

• Develop and maintain Java applications using frameworks like Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate microservices in a cloud-native environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum or Kanban).
• Write and execute unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber).
• Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and development practices.

What’s Needed

• 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience, ideally in enterprise or government environments.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, and container platforms (e.g. OpenShift or Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or similar API security protocols.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle or similar) and writing SQL/PLSQL queries.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

What’s on offer:
