Network Technician – Pre-Staging & Initial Configuration

Salary: €400 - €500 per day DOE
Our Client:
- Our client is a leading organisation operating critical national infrastructure, delivering highly secure and resilient telecommunications and network services. They are seeking an experienced Network Technician to support equipment pre-staging, configuration, and deployment activities within a highly regulated technical environment.
What’s Involved:
- Hands-on pre-staging and initial configuration of telecoms and network equipment prior to deployment.
- Completing configuration and datafill activities to enable integration of services and circuits into operational and corporate telecoms network environments.
- Working within a Cisco-based network estate and engaging vendor support (e.g., TAC case management) where required.
- Maintaining and updating network records, asset details, and technical documentation following staging or configuration changes.
- Supporting adherence to strict operational procedures including incident classification, escalation, and closure processes.
- Ensuring all work complies with network security standards, including device access, authentication, logging, and configuration controls.
- Following approved safety procedures, including RAMS documentation for site activities and compliance with required safety standards.
- Operating under supervision when required within secure operational sites.
What You Need:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in telecoms or network engineering roles.
- Full working rights to work in Ireland (stamp 4, EU citizenship etc.)
- Must hold Cisco Partner certification at Select, Premier, or Gold level.
- Strong hands-on experience with device staging, configuration, and network integration.
- Experience maintaining network documentation, configuration records, and asset management systems.
- Vendor support experience (e.g., Cisco TAC case engagement).
- Safe pass cert is a bonus.
