Power BI Developer – Private Sector

What’s involved

• Designing, building and optimising Power BI semantic models for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
• Creating clear, user-friendly dashboards and reports that turn data into business insight.
• Improving report performance through model tuning, efficient DAX and dataset optimisation.
• Implementing deployment and refresh strategies that support scalability, reliability and best practice.
• Using Power BI Service capabilities including workspace management, dataflows, security, governance and usage monitoring.
• Working with data, product and business stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose BI solutions and support Power BI adoption.

What’s needed

• 7+ years’ experience in BI development, including significant Power BI project delivery.
• Proficiency across Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Experience with semantic model design, report design, performance optimisation and deployment best practices.
• Experience using DAX, dataset optimisation and Power BI Service features to improve reporting performance.
• Experience working in cloud data environments such as Azure or Snowflake would be an advantage.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders, train users and support a data-driven culture.
