Security Detection Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
This role will see the successful candidate join our clients’ Endpoint Security Team as a Subject Matter Expert. This critical role focuses on SIEM management, log source onboarding, and enhancing their security monitoring capabilities across global environments.

As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with their global SOC to develop high-fidelity detections, improve operational excellence, and strengthen defences against evolving cyber threats.

What’s involved:
·          Lead SIEM management, optimisation, and log source integration

·          Develop and deploy advanced detection capabilities across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS)

·          Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support major incident response efforts

·          Mentor junior engineers and produce quality documentation and training

·          Ensure alignment with security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)

 
What you need:
·         5+ years in cybersecurity and 10+ in IT with a strong background in SIEM platforms (e.g., Sentinel, QRadar, Splunk, Trellix)
·         Cloud security and scripting expertise (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
·         Deep understanding of threat detection, incident response, and endpoint security
·         Strong knowledge of security standards, risk management, and compliance
·         Relevant certifications (CISSP, Splunk Admin, QRadar Specialist, etc.) are highly desirable
