Senior Data Scientist  Private Sector

Our Client:

• A global payments technology company powering an inclusive digital economy, connecting partners and customers across more than 210 countries. This role sits within their SME Engineering team, building innovative analytics products from the ground up for small and medium business clients.

What's Involved:

• Driving the evolution of advanced analytics products, with a focus on data science and engineering impact
• Designing and implementing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models and analytical solutions
• Leading complex data science projects from conception through to deployment
• Building and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards
• Partnering with product, engineering and sales teams to prioritise the highest-value data science problems
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members
• Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Driving innovation through R&D initiatives and new methodologies

What You Need:

• 7–10 years' experience in a data science role supporting product development
• Strong hands-on experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, deep learning and advanced statistics
• High proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL and R
• Experience with Hadoop big data tools (Hive, Impala, Spark) or Databricks, and cloud-native services (Azure/AWS)
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline (Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, etc.)

What's On Offer:

• €600 - €800 per day DOE
• Dublin-based role with hybrid working (3 days in office)
• Standard working hours, 9–5
• 12-month contract with potential for extension
