What’s Involved
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software and business change projects, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and measures of success.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining control of priorities, risks, dependencies and the critical path.
- Communicate progress, decisions, risks and solutions clearly to stakeholders across technical and business teams.
- Plan future releases, taking account of available capacity, capability and business priorities.
- Apply and improve project and PMO processes, ensuring they remain practical, proportionate and aligned with business needs.
What’s Needed
- Previous experience delivering projects within the life and pensions industry.
- Track record of leading software delivery and strategic business change initiatives from initial scope through to implementation.
- Experience working within regulated environments and established governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
- Relevant project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Scrum Master, alongside proficiency with project management tools.
- Commercially aware, analytical and delivery-focused approach, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
