What’s involved:

  • Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity and Rest Assured
  • Contribute to test strategy and determine the appropriate test approach across functional, integration, regression, API and UI testing
  • Build and maintain automated test suites to improve test coverage and optimise testing cycles
  • Work closely with Software Engineers and Agile teams to ensure software is testable and delivered to a high standard
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery
  • Perform API, integration and database testing using REST/SOAP and SQL
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing testing approaches and contribute to continuous improvement and best practice
  • Promote automation and software quality practices across the wider team

What you need:

  • 3+ years' experience in an SDET, Automation Tester or similar role
  • Strong Java programming/development skills
  • Proven experience building or significantly enhancing test automation frameworks
  • Strong experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity and/or Rest Assured
  • Experience developing BDD test suites using Gherkin, Cucumber and JUnit
  • Strong API testing experience, particularly REST APIs
  • Practical experience with Maven in automated CI builds
  • Experience working in highly automated CI/CD environments
  • Strong SQL and relational database testing experience
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to promote and influence software quality best practices
