What’s Involved

• Owning the end-to-end solution architecture for complex payments and regulatory transformation programmes.
• Defining and maintaining current-state and target-state architecture blueprints.
• Identifying and managing architectural gaps, integration points, dependencies and risks across multiple domains.
• Producing design papers, architecture documentation and decision papers for presentation to governance forums.
• Coordinating architecture teams and workstreams to ensure consistency with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations.
• Leading vendor assessments, make-or-buy decisions and architecture trade-off evaluations.

What’s Needed

• Significant Solution Architecture experience within banking, payments or financial services environments.
• Strong knowledge of payment platforms, open banking and payments-related regulatory requirements.
• Experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions spanning multiple systems, platforms and business domains.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or an equivalent methodology.
• Experience with modern API platforms, cloud architecture, integration technologies and microservices.
• Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions clearly through high-quality documentation and senior governance presentations.
