Strategic Sourcing Manager Private Sector

Our Client:

• We are supporting a leading financial services organisation in the search for a Strategic Sourcing Manager. This role will be critical in shaping and delivering sourcing strategies that drive procurement efficiency, manage key supplier relationships, and lead large-scale supplier negotiations.

What’s Involved:

• Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to support strategic decisions.
• Manage supplier contracts to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
• Evaluate and identify potential suppliers that meet high standards for quality and sustainability.
• Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for savings and added value.
• Drive cost optimisation through supplier consolidation and contract renegotiation.
• Support the development of category strategies across Banking Operations, Infrastructure, HR, and more.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage key supplier contracts.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure sourcing activities align with regulatory and internal policies.

What You Need:

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within financial services.
• Strong track record in managing spend across categories such as IT, Facilities, or similar.
• Experience developing category-specific sourcing strategies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Professional procurement qualifications (e.g. CIPS, CPSM, IIPMM) are desirable but not essential.
