Wintel Engineer Public Sector

What’s involved:

• Design, build and support physical and virtual Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, storage and backup infrastructure.
• Deploy and support virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Monitor and optimise server performance, availability and security.
• Implement backup, restore, clustering and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Support Windows and Linux integrations, including data backup and recovery.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and infrastructure solutions.
• Troubleshoot system faults, vulnerabilities and hardware/software dependencies.
• Work with project teams and technology vendors to ensure reliable infrastructure delivery.

What you need:

• +6 years’ commercial experience as a Wintel Engineer or Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualisation.
• Knowledge of storage, backup, monitoring and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft and/or VMware certification, or equivalent qualification.
• Recent experience performing these responsibilities as a core part of your role.
